The American Heritage Dictionary defines Khamsin as "...a southerly
hot wind from the Sahara that blows across Egypt...". With their
dramatic facial markings, sleek muscular bodies and hot desert color, it is
easy to imagine that the Abyssinian stepped out of the desert into your home.
We have been showing and raising Abyssinians since
1988! We breed ruddy and cinnamon (red) Abys. Our cats and
kittens are registered in CFA (Cat
Fanciers Assoc.) and TICA (The
International Cat Assoc.). Over the years we have
had many regional and top international winning cats in TICA. Many
of our cats are also CFA Grand Champions.
Above all, Khamsin breeds selectively for quality Abyssinians who are
healthy, beautiful and loving. All kittens are raised in a loving,
caring home as part of the family. They receive the best care
available. Generally, kittens are ready for their new homes after the
age of 12 weeks. All pet kittens are placed with a neuter/spay agreement
and health guarantee.
Our Abyssinians share our home with myself, my husband and
two lovable Golden Retrievers. We encourage
