Cats helping people Food drive
Collecting
food for St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen in Nowich, CT
We are
going to collect human food for the St Vincent De Paul
Soup Kitchen and Food bank at the show. Also, for every
spectator that comes to the show, $1 from their
admission price will go to the Food Bank - whether it is
an adult, senior or child's ticket - we will still
donate $1. We would love nothing better than to be able
to turn over $2,000 to the food bank at the end of the
weekend and we can do that if we have the support of the
community.
Humane
Society Van
The
Humane Society Adoption Van will be on the premises both
days so anyone looking for a new feline friend is
encouraged to come and see the cats. We will also have
a cat and dog food drive and all the food will be
donated to the Humane Society.
The
Show
There
will be over two hundred cats from all over the world,
purebred and domestic as well as twelve judges from all
over the country. We have some of the best judges
coming to this show - judges who like to talk with the
spectators, explain the cats, what they look for and
present their best cats with quite a flourish.
There will be vendors selling both cat and human
goodies, cats available for adoption and good food and
snacks courtesy of Kelly Middle School PTO. There will
be fun for the entire family. Proceeds from the show
will help Helping Paws, a 501c3 charitable organization
that does cat rescue, the
St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen, the Kelly
School PTO and Humane Society. It is a community
affair. It is not too expensive and all the money goes
to good causes.
